Landscape Impact and Integration Study (Estudio de Impacto y Integración Paisajístico)
In December we were approached to deal with the submission of a Landscape Impact and Integration Study – Estudio de Impacto y Integración Paisajístico – for a client whose planning permission had expired, leaving his renovation to an existing agricultural building incomplete.
SKH is using a combination of 3d technology and online resources to generate topographical data without the need of expensive topographical surveys, where they can be avoided. In this example, the report requires an analysis of the visual impact of the building within the surrounding landscape from any significant viewpoints. The topographical models generated help to establish lines of sight, and can be used, as in this case, to demonstrate the limited visibility of a given building within a sensitive rural landscape. Having established this visibility range, the report requires 3d renders of the completed proposal within the existing landscape to be produced. We work with a highly skilled team to produce this kind of image, with results that have already led to positive planning decisions for a number of clients.
